WordPress Resources
Most of my blogging experience is with WordPress, so this is likely to grow into a fairly big list
General WordPress Help: good background reading
WordPress Plugins: the following plugins are useful:
- TrackBackers: displays inbound links.
- Ultimate Tag Warrior: this used to be the best way to manage tags before they became part of core WordPress functionality, and still allows you to do more with tags as a “power user”.
- WP-o-matic: used to build pages out of RSS feeds. Read about my experience with it, and a practical example in use at Facibus On Blogging.
WordPress Themes: here are a few of my favourite themes and theme libraries:
- 100 Excellent Free WordPress Themes: a list compiled and tested by Smashing magazine. Impressive
- FreeWordPressThemes.com: hundreds of themes
- Jauhari: A directory of free themes.
- Mimbo (used on On Blogging Australia)
- WordPress Mobile Edition template: useful if you blog on a topic that is of interest to mobile blog readers.
- WordPress Theme Park: a collection of free and premium themes.
- WPSkins.org: a directory of free themes.
- YgoSearch: YGo produces a range of themes that are worth looking at.
WordPress Theme hacks: These are ways of changing/customising your blog’s theme:
