Hey Andrew,

I got exactly the same treatment. One day I was EC’ing away then next day deleted. I didnt even bother to try and find out why or get reinstated as I had lost any kind of trust I had for the whole system anyway. EC is getting a little bit too full of themselves, especially if they are deleting blogs that sing their praises and drive more people to them.

My Blog hadnt been updated for a few months, but their directory is riddled with spam sites and I dont see whi people like us with legit sites have to get penalised.

I’m with you and feel that we will see entrecard die a very painful death as whispers are a plenty of people not happy with the system. BOO to you Entrecard, dont bite the hand that feeds you as it wont be long before the feed dies out.

Thanks for maintaining the list and the traffic it has brought. At least the traffic from your list was useful and didnt destroy my bounce rate.

I think we have very similar motivations - I have started a lot of blogs owing to a flash of inspiration at 2AM - creating the blog allows me to park the idea somewhere that I can come back to it.

Great post

Blogging for me was a way of filling a market gap in order to create an environment for networking and learning.

It also allows me to get some of the ideas cramming my head out to create room for new ones…

I think that there is a common theme emerging here - that we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be guilted into doing what no longer feels right.
