Aussie Bloggers - The Blog!

There is a lot of activity behind the scenes this evening as we prepare for the official launch of the Aussie Bloggers blog tomorrow (Monday 21 January 2008). The Forums have proven to be a smashing success - since opening three weeks ago, we’re now at:

  • 215 members,
  • 7360 posts, and
  • 682 different topics.

Some of the forum posts have been of the “Hi my name is…” and “welcome” variety, but there has been a lot of bloggers-helping-bloggers sharing of information and tips going on.

The blog is going to cover a variety of topics on Australian bloggers and blogging in Australia. As I hinted yesterday, this leaves me with a bit of a niche crisis with overlap between this blog and Aussie Bloggers. Things change - and I’m keeping an open mind to the long-term prospects for On Blogging Australia - there will be a lot of new posting ideas in the group blog as it sets out to define what it is to be an Australian blogger. I’m proud to be part of the experiment.
