Favourite Five Meme
By AndrewBoyd • Dec 29th, 2007 • Category: Blogging tips, Promoting Australian BlogsSue from Blogging Sueblimely tagged me with the Favourite Five meme - to play, I have to:
1. Post 5 links to 5 of your previously written posts. The posts have to relate to the 5 key words : family, friend, yourself, your love, anything you like.
2. Tag 5 other friends to do this meme. Try to tag at least 2 new acquaintances so that you get to know them each a little bit better.
My five previously written posts relating to the five keywords are:
- family: on Father’s Day I wrote about how other Aussie bloggers were remembering the day and on my own father.
- friend: this is a hard one - I have some very meaningful relationships with blogging friends, and it is hard to choose one to link here. In my Eight Things post I mentioned the following friends - Maria Murphy, Meg Tsiamis, Snoskred, Steve Collins, Ruth Ellison, Matthew Hodgson, and Donna Maurer. These people are like family to me.
- yourself: I don’t talk about myself a lot - I do talk about the world around me though. Probably the closest I’ve come recently was on Christmas Day indulgences.
- your love: that’s easy - it has to be about Donna. I’ve known Donna for years but we only recently started a relationship - pre-relationship I wrote a post about her new hair.
- anything you like: I like a lot of things - and apart from the special people I’ve mentioned above (and a lot more like them), I really like my job with SMSMT.
Now, to tag five other people with this meme, including two new acquaintances:
- Caronne writes Contemplation of various things - I would like to add her as she is a good friend to Donna and I (and she has just started blogging, welcome to the blogosphere Caronne!)
- Kelley - because she makes me laugh!
- Ruth - because she is also a good friend to Donna and I.
- Neerav - because I don’t know him well enough and his heart is in the right place.
- Laurel - because I don’t know her well enough either despite our Twitter friendship.

Thanks Andrew. You’re the first person to tag me with a meme.
PS I’ve passed the meme onwards at http://www.roadlesstravelled.com.au/favorite-five-meme/

Hi Neerav,
you are most welcome, and thank you for the back link.
The memes can come across as being a little cheesy but they are a great way of building community - getting people to know one another.
Best regards, Andrew
Thanks for taking part in this Andrew and for letting us get to know you a little better - and for introducing us to some of your own blogging friends as well as newer contacts.
Hi Sue,
thank you for introducing me to it and for continuing to participate in the meme after it has passed from your blog
Best regards, Andrew
Hey! No fair! SueBlimey already tagged me!
Guess I have to do it then. Which posts do you suggest I refer to Andrew?
Hi Kelley,
thanks for that - and you will continue to be tagged mercilessly until you submit to the will of the people - we want to know more!

Refer to Sue’s post, she tagged you before I did
Cheers, Andrew
Hey, cool. I love it when I stumble across a post in which you tell the world that you love me. How web2.0 is that
Hi Donna,
I do love you - it is no secret. I will tell anyone that doesn’t get out of the way fast enough - I do so love you
Yours, Andrew
